MEXICAN CULTURE IN THE WORLD

MEXICAN CULTURE IN THE WORLD

It is no secret that Mexican culture is extensive, varied and striking. Our customs are interesting and peculiar to many other countries that have adopted them and mixed with their ideas.

Let me show you some ways in which we have Mexicanised the world. ¡SI SEÑOR!

EL DÍA DE MUERTOS (DAY OF THE DEAD)

El dia de muertos is probably the best known Mexican tradition outside our borders.

The traditions of this celebration include visiting graves of loved ones who have died and preparing altares (or offerings) with food, candles, incense, photographs and flowers to remember them. It is only during these days that the souls of loved ones can return from beyond to be close to their own.

This popular culture has generated a strong presence in clothing, accessories, movies, festivities and even tattoo trends.

LA COMIDA (THE FOOD)

proudly declared intangible heritage of humanity.

In recent times a wave of Mexican restaurants has been dedicated to spreading the flavor of our cuisine. Tacos, burritos, enchiladas and tamales are the tools with which foreign palates fall in love of our cuisine.

EL TEQUILA

Feared by many, loved by most (including me) this is one of the most famous alcoholic beverage in the world. El Tequila is a guarantee of good parties and fun with the friends, something in which we by nature we are experts.

Also Mexico give to the world the sangrita and mezcal that helped people who don't want to go hard on Tequila to calm the famous sed de la mala.

LA FIESTA (THE PARTY)

Our cheerful personality and sense of humor have created a certain image about Mexicans and how we celebrate. And, the truth, if we Mexicans know how to do something well is to put together a good party, it's in our blood.

Just as an advice, if you ever go to a Mexican party, and if you are not planing to drink you better go on Uber, lyft, taxi or whatever, because as a Mexican we don't take a no by answer when we offer you a drink, at the end if you go to a Mexican party, you party like a Mexican.
